Gavin's First Birthday Party

We spent the rest of our time in Utah at a vacation condo near Salt Lake City with Casey's family, and because my family came for my college graduation we decided to have a bit of cake and ice cream for Gavin's first birthday with both sides. You might think that birthday parties are a time of mirth and laughter, but since the day was already long due to graduation and a subsequent Italian food smorgasbord at Brick Oven with all of the friends and family who came to Provo, Gavin was just plain hungry and grumpy. The following pictures were taken when everyone was singing "Happy Birthday" to him, but all he wanted to do was eat. Luckily, that's what we do best, and his wish was granted with chocolate cake and ice cream! Thank you so much to all of the well-wishers and gift-givers. Gavin will surely never go naked and toy-less with such wonderful family around!
